the “ber”/”blur” months.
four blogs?! in a row?? who am I?!
so I was definitely supposed to write this post during the first of the “ber” months, but clearly that’s come and gone. We’re already at the beginning of the THIRD “ber” month of the year, and it’s flying by. Hence why I’m deeming these months (September, October, November, December) the “blur” months. Because once September hits, the rest of the year goes by in a blur.
maybe it’s because of the holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. These times bring about so many things to do and to buy – costumes, food, presents. It always amazes me how New Year’s Eve is here before I know it. But even though we’ve already finished TWO “ber” months, I’m doing my best to take my time, to soak in each day and what it brings.
it’s also interesting because the “ber” months also motivate people to hibernate – to stay inside, to get cozy, to not do too much, unless it’s for the typical holiday traditions. How can months that encourage us to stay in and slow down go by so quickly? The math ain’t mathing 😂 And even though the cold weather months aren’t my favorite, I’m grateful when they are here because I’m almost forced to slow down in some way.
like this week, I’m skipping the gym, and getting more rest and doing yoga at home instead. I could tell last week that I was getting into a rhythm that wasn’t healthy for me (honestly, I’ve kind of been in that rhythm for a while), and I knew it was time for me to take a break. I can say without a doubt that this has been so refreshing for me; I’m already feeling a difference, and I know without a doubt that I’ll be ready to get back to a new normal schedule next week because of it.
no matter what these “ber” months hold for you, be sure to hold space for yourself in whatever ways you need. If things feel like they’re going too fast, slow down in any way you can. If you feel like you’re being a little too sluggish, do your best to move your body or get some fresh air (even if it is a little chilly out there!). The end of the year will be here before you know it, so let’s do our best to spend these “ber” months in ways that will benefit us now and into the new year!
more Demon Slayer blogs will be coming soon! Thank you for your patience…I’m trying to take my time with reading and watching to give you all a delightful reading experience!
plus I’ve been a little busy writing my fanfic…
…OKAY BYEEE!
