Have you ever made friends online?

Like friends you’ve never met in person, but connected really well with over social media? I remember growing up and thinking that it was so dangerous to ever connect with someone who I didn’t know over the Internet. Of course, you do always have to be cautious because people can pretend to be who they aren’t.

But honestly, I’ve met some amazing people through social media; some who I’ve been inspired by creatively, others who have encouraged me during tough times, and others I hope to meet in person!

You’d think you couldn’t build a bond over statuses, pictures, or even just playing UNO games together, but life is just kind of cool like that. I’m grateful to be blessed enough to have met some amazing souls who are genuinely wanting friendship and not only connection. Honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised that these connections have grown into solid friendships (and yes, I do believe that you can build a solid friendship miles away, over the Internet).

It’ll be interesting to see how our friendships will be and grow whenever we meet in person. Because that is my goal!
