Years ago, I really struggled with being confident. Although, you wouldn’t really know it because of what I was posting on social media.

I was suffering from low self esteem, but I was also seeking validation in the wrong places. Now, I know that nothing in this world can make me confident. I have to be happy with myself, regardless of what the world may say beauty or value or worth is.

It might be cheesy for me to say this, but I truly wasn’t fully confident until I started focusing on my relationship with God. Anyone who’s a Christian knows that we’ve been told often that we can only be satisfied in Christ. It’s hard to imagine this as a younger person, but me, almost hitting 30 (🙂), I can understand this more because of my life experiences.

You can have all the things you think you want in life, and still be lacking, still be craving for more. And you can just be barely making it, and be so extremely happy and confident in who you are and where you are. It sounds so cliché, but I guess it’s cliché for a reason.
