Hey y’all!

I know I’ve been a *little* inconsistent with the blogging. It’s been a crazy couple of days, even today was pretty busy for me! I didn’t really get a chance to sit down and relax, but hopefully I’ll be able to tomorrow after work!

This past weekend, I got my nails done. I was so excited because I wanted to get some spooky nails since Halloween is so close. I’ve gotten acrylics and sculpting gel before, but both of these things honestly ruined the health of my nails, so I decided I was just going to go natural this time around I had been growing my nails out so that they wouldn’t be too short when I got them done.

Well, would you believe that the day before I went to get my nails done, one of my nails BROKE. 😖 I can’t lie, initially, I was distraught. I had seen the day before that my nail looked like it might break, so I tried to put some nail glue on it to keep it together, and obviously, it didn’t work.

I started to try to come up with a way to keep the length of my other nails while somehow having this one nail broken. And suddenly, inspiration came upon me…

I’d forgotten that there’s this nail trend now called “lipstick shape nails.” It’s probably what you think it looks like, but I’ll show you a photo for reference:

And so, I decided that both of my middle fingers would have lipstick shaped nails. I considered doing all my nails like that, but I still wanted to have my typical square shape that I love. Plus, it gave the spooky concept another level to it; sort of a “slasher” feel, if you will.

Here’s the finished product! A girl named Lena painted my nails, and she did a wonderful job on the theme!

I think the ghost nail is my favorite. He’s so cute! 👻

Admittedly, all my nails were pretty pointy by the end of my appointment, and I’ve had to adjust a little bit until the edges of my nails soften a little. But I’m overall happy with the result!
