sleep.
I’m not sure what it is these last couple of days, but I’ve been tossing and turning in my sleep.
My body is so tired hitting the bed, but then I find myself constantly waking up, having that feeling of being right under sleep, but awake enough to snap out of it. In my new PopFlex planner for this year, this week’s challenge is to go to bed 10 minutes earlier than my normal bedtime, and I really want to stick to that!
Because despite having so much to do, and so much on my mind, I know that resting is one of the most important things. If you’ve been around long enough to see some of my previous posts, you know that I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to over-scheduling myself, but I can feel that starting to creep in already.
After tonight, though, I do want to make a better habit of going to bed on time, or even before on time. I want to wind down better than I have been; with tea and reading a book versus blogging last minute, and checking my phone for updates. I feel like I’d made such a great habit of this last summer, but of course, the busier you become, the more your mind races and feels like it can’t sit down until you’ve completely exhausted yourself.
So, this week, I’m gonna take my planner up on that challenge, and force myself to really rest, and allow my body the time it needs to recover from a full day’s work. If you all have any sleep tips for me, please let me know in the comments!
