Hey! It’s me again. Back to trying to blog consistently.

I guess I should update you all on some things since I’ve been gone…

new job.

Yesss I got a new job! After 7 years, this is my last week being a preschool teacher! My last day is Thursday, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic for a new opportunity. I’ve been praying for a way to leave the preschool, doing something that I was passionate about, and God answered my prayers!

I’ll be working at one of the branches of the public library here in my city! It’s a smaller branch, and I’ll still be working with the youth in some capacity. But my responsibilities will be completely different, and I’m so thankful for that!

So, I guess you could say that today’s mood for me is EXCITED. I’m also anticipating what my new job will be like. I know I’ll have to make some wardrobe changes considering I’ve been able to dress super casual for the last 7 years, but I’m eager to be able to show off my professional style, and to wear things without fearing that I’ll ruin them with bleach water and/or pee and poop from my students.

Am I sad that I’ll be leaving my students? It is bittersweet. I’ve had most of the kids that I’m currently with for the summer for a whole year, so it will be sad not being able to see them grow up throughout their school years. But I’ve had the privilege of doing that for SEVERAL of the classes that have gone through me, so, I’m not extremely saddened to say goodbye.

I’m excited to blog more about being back in my cute librarian phase once again! I loved working at my college library during my junior and senior years, so to be able to be back in that sort of space again is a dream come true!

I’ll have to write to you all about the details behind how this all occurred. Maybe in tomorrow’s blog post? 🤔 Let me know if you’re interested in reading about it!
