Y’all will get the first read of this new poem I wrote! I usually post them on Instagram and Twitter (or, now X), but since I’m aiming to blog every day, I might as well share them here too!

I wrote this the same night I blogged about release a few days ago! It’s nice to express myself in two different forms of writing, even if I am talking about the same thing.

“release.”

I’m outgrowing a lot of things.
Shedding skin that doesn’t fit me,
Unloading weight off my wings.
I’m done trying to make room where
There is none; pushing a piece into a puzzle that
Doesn’t belong.
I’m shutting out the
Unnecessary commentary when
My own voice already speaks so loudly.
Unfolding my fingers one after the other,
Savoring the final moments before I fully

Release.
